Questions, support and grievances: grievance@jaanbazaar.com
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By creating an account, submitting a registration or booking, or using a service requiring acceptance of these Terms, you agree to these Terms and the applicable event-specific conditions.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Acceptance of these Terms does not automatically provide consent for optional marketing, non-essential cookies or identifiable-data engine training.
Account holders must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement. Anyone acting on behalf of a business must be authorised to represent it.
2. Platform services
The Platform facilitates event discovery, visitor and vendor registration, booking requests, stall allocation, payment records, customer purchase entries, event administration and communication.
Access to particular functions depends on your approved role. We may develop, modify or discontinue features while respecting existing contractual and statutory obligations.
3. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate information, keep account details current and protect your login credentials.
Where an external authentication service is used, its own terms and privacy practices apply to its services.
Registration does not automatically grant vendor approval, staff access or administrative privileges. You must not impersonate another person, share restricted access or attempt to view information outside your authorised role.
Notify grievance@jaanbazaar.com promptly if you suspect account misuse or unauthorised access.
4. Vendor registration and event bookings
Vendor registration expresses interest in participation. It does not guarantee approval, a stall, exclusivity, customer footfall, sales or income.
Bookings become confirmed only through the confirmation process specified for the relevant event.
Event-specific conditions—including dates, venue, stall dimensions, inclusions, permitted products, charges, payment deadlines and cancellation terms—will be disclosed before confirmation and form part of the booking agreement.
An unresolved booking-specific matter is not governed by an undisclosed or retrospectively introduced condition.
5. Charges, instalments and payment verification
Vendors must pay agreed charges according to the approved booking and instalment schedule.
Only payment methods expressly authorised by the Company should be used. Payment screenshots, references and uploaded receipts may remain pending verification until the funds are confirmed.
Discounts, adjustments and payment extensions require authorisation. Vendors should retain payment evidence and promptly report discrepancies.
We do not request banking passwords, card PINs or payment OTPs through registration or customer-entry forms.
6. Cancellations, changes and refunds
Cancellations, rescheduling, transfers and refunds are governed by the conditions disclosed for the relevant event and applicable law.
Where we cancel or materially change an event, we will communicate the available options and applicable refund arrangements to affected participants.
Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights or allows us to retain amounts contrary to applicable law.
7. Vendor products and responsibilities
Unless expressly stated otherwise, products and services offered by participating vendors are supplied by those vendors.
Vendors are responsible for accurate descriptions, product quality, required licences, taxes, safety, warranties and customer service relating to their offerings.
The Company remains responsible for its own services and legal obligations.
Vendors must comply with event rules, applicable law and reasonable venue requirements.
8. Customer information and purchase entries
Before entering a customer’s personal information, vendors must explain its collection and provide access to the Privacy Policy.
Vendors must enter only information appropriately obtained for the stated purpose. A purchase alone does not constitute consent to promotional messages.
Vendors must not:
- Fabricate customer records or purchase amounts.
- Record marketing permission that the customer has not provided.
- Upload unrelated contact lists without an appropriate basis.
- Enter unnecessary sensitive or confidential information.
- Access, export or use another vendor’s customer records.
The Company may link purchase records across participating vendors and events using an appropriate identifier, as described in the Privacy Policy. Phone-number matching is not independent verification of identity.
9. Reports and automated features
Reports reflect information recorded in the Platform. They may be incomplete, require correction or exclude purchases that were not entered.
Optional purchase amounts that are not supplied remain unknown and must not be interpreted as zero.
Recorded sales reports are not necessarily audited financial statements or a complete account of vendor turnover.
Recommendations and automated support may contain errors. Important financial, booking and contractual matters must be confirmed through authorised records or personnel.
10. Permitted use
Users must not misuse the Platform, introduce malicious software, scrape personal information, disrupt services, submit unlawful material or attempt to bypass access controls.
We may investigate suspected misuse and preserve relevant records where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.
11. Intellectual property
Company branding, logos, original content and Platform design belong to the Company or their respective owners.
Vendors retain ownership of content they submit. By submitting business logos, product photographs or promotional material for a listing or event, vendors grant the Company a non-exclusive permission to use and reasonably adapt that material for the relevant listing, event and related promotion.
This permission does not transfer ownership or override rights relating to personal information.
12. Availability, suspension and responsibility
We aim to provide reliable services, but access may be interrupted by maintenance, connectivity problems, provider failures or other technical issues.
We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address security risks, unlawful activity, non-payment or material breaches. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect business losses caused by interruptions or independently operated third-party services. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to these Terms
Revised Terms will be published on the Platform. Material changes will be notified, and fresh acceptance obtained where required.
Changes do not retrospectively remove accrued rights or alter confirmed booking obligations without an appropriate basis.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Indian law.
Subject to mandatory consumer, statutory and other competent forums, courts having jurisdiction in Kollam, Kerala shall have jurisdiction over disputes.
